The Prison Doctor

Three years ago, Chen Ping'an was sent to prison for intentional assault after wounding a man in a fit of rage—all for the sake of his girlfriend. Three years later, he returns home to find his family devastated by tragedy. His elder brother and sister-in-law have both perished in a car accident. His father is left lame in one leg. His seven-year-old nephew has been diagnosed with leukemia. And the medical clinic passed down through his ancestors is gone. To keep the household afloat, his father was forced to borrow from loan sharks, leaving the family with nothing but bare walls. And just when things could not possibly get worse, his girlfriend's betrayal arrives—she has been unfaithful to him. There is only one thing left to do: lay his cards on the table. He is no ordinary convict—he is the prison doctor. He is the Prison Emperor. His name is Chen Ping'an.
