Nokemono Koi Gatari: Marechi no Musume to Ayakashi Kitsune

Set during the Taisho era, Amelie Haruzono is a cheerful and forward-thinking girl of mixed Western heritage who attends an all-girls high school, where she often draws curious stares. Her life takes a dangerous turn when a specific incident causes yokai to relentlessly pursue her as if drawn by an unseen force. She is rescued from these attacks by Akatsuki, a mysterious military officer, but his intervention comes with a perilous cost: overwhelmed by the scent of Amelie’s blood, he loses control and goes on a rampage. As a half-yokai fox spirit, Akatsuki ultimately makes a startling declaration upon meeting Amelie, proclaiming that she is already his bride. This encounter raises urgent questions about why the yokai are targeting her and the true nature of Domination, the secret organization to which Akatsuki belongs. As the fates of these two intertwine, a story poised to shake the boundaries between the human and yokai worlds begins to unfold.
