Nagisa Yamagami wears her defiance like a second skin. A high school student in the throes of rebellion, she has made a habit of breaking every school regulation she can, from uniform violations to skipping assemblies. But her most cutting act of resistance is aimed closer to home: she has abandoned ballet, the very discipline her parents pushed her into, turning her back on years of training purely to spite their expectations. Every rule she shatters and every plié she refuses to perform is a small declaration of independence, yet the fury that fuels her feels increasingly hollow with each passing day. That restless routine is disrupted one evening on her way home, when she crosses paths with a blind young man. Gentle and unhurried, he is the son of a local handicraft shop owner, a familiar face from her former life—he used to visit her ballet classes regularly, tasked with delivering costumes sewn by his family. Though he never saw her dance, his quiet presence was a constant backdrop to her rehearsals, a silent witness to the passion she has now forcibly abandoned. In their chance meeting, his unseeing eyes and calm demeanor offer no judgment of her choices, only an unexpected familiarity that catches her off guard. As they speak, the shared world of ballet lingers between them, threatening to stir the very feelings Nagisa has worked so hard to bury.
