Summary

Official Details
During summer break, Noby and Doraemon use the "Story-Entering Shoes" to experience the story of Sinbad the sailor from the Thousand and One Nights picture book, but Noby finds it boring and invites Shizuka to join him instead. However, Shizuka declines as she is due to attend a summer camp. Noby is then joined by Gian and Suneo, who enter the story of Jack and the Beanstalk picture book and cause chaos by meddling with the plot. Shizuka later arrives at Noby's house, having forgotten the date of the summer camp, and enters the Pinocchio picture book with Noby. However, Gian and Suneo's actions in the previous story cause the two to encounter a jumbled mix of storylines, leading to Shizuka's frustration. She attempts to leave the story world but is knocked into the desert by Sinbad, who is riding a magic carpet. The next day, Doraemon discovers that Shizuka is missing and uses the "Universal Encyclopedia" to learn that the Thousand and One Nights picture book contains 260 stories, some of which are based on real historical figures. Doraemon and his friends travel to 8th century Baghdad, where they meet the Caliph Harun al-Rashid and his advisor Jafar al-Barmaki. However, they soon get into conflict with the guide Mikgin, who leaves in a huff. The group is ambushed by a gang of thieves led by Kassim, who is revealed to be a merchant who had betrayed them. After being thrown overboard, Doraemon and his friends are washed up on the shore and forced to cross the desert, where Doraemon loses his pouch, which contains his gadgets. They are eventually rescued by Sinbad, who takes them to his palace. Sinbad shows them various gadgets from a future traveler and helps them defeat the villainous Abu Kru, who had kidnapped Shizuka. Abu Kru reveals that he is the only one who remembers the location of the palace because he did not take the forgetfulness potion. Abu Kru and Kassim seize the palace while Sinbad is away and use the gadgets to capture Doraemon and his friends. Mikgin returns and restores Doraemon's pouch, which had been stolen and lost in the desert. Doraemon and his friends, with Sinbad's help, defeat Abu Kru, Kassim, and their accomplices and reclaim the palace. In the end, Sinbad decides to let Abu Kru and his men take the forgetfulness potion and send them back to Baghdad. As Doraemon and his friends say their goodbyes to Sinbad, he surprisingly spares them from taking the potion, and the episode ends with the group returning to their own world, with Doraemon giving Sinbad a comic book and toys as a parting gift.
