Gokuto Jihen

Adapted from the chilling horror game crafted by Rinne-dou, this dark manga thrusts readers into the unsettling world of Kirishima, a protagonist burdened with a singular, ominous directive: capture the deceased one. What that cryptic command truly entails remains shrouded in mystery, yet it allows no room for refusal or doubt. Armed with nothing but his resolve and the persistent echo of those words, Kirishima ventures toward his designated hunting ground—a long-abandoned school, sealed off from the living and notorious among locals as a hotbed of ghostly folklore. The derelict institution stands as a monument to decay, its corridors swallowed by perpetual gloom and its crumbling classrooms radiating the faint, oppressive residue of past tragedies. Every frayed curtain and rusted fixture tells a silent story of grief, while the townsfolk whisper of spectral figures that roam the halls after dusk. For Kirishima, this is far more than a routine exorcism or paranormal investigation; it is a desperate plunge into the unknown, where the boundary between hunter and hunted evaporates with each creaking floorboard. The deceased one he must capture is no ordinary spirit, and as he penetrates deeper into the school's suffocating silence, he begins to grasp that fulfilling his mission may demand a sacrifice far greater than he ever foresaw—and that some truths are best left buried among the dead.
