Renai Kinshi Library

Murofuchi is a quiet, book-devouring librarian who has always found solace in the silent company of literature rather than the unpredictable noise of human interaction. His peaceful routine at a modest local library is shattered when an uncompromising directive arrives from the main branch: he must host a children's storytime session. Terrified of public speaking and painfully aware of his social awkwardness, Murofuchi resigns himself to practice the only way he knows how—alone in the empty library after hours, reading aloud to a small tank of Japanese ricefish that offer no judgment. But his solitary rehearsal takes an unexpected turn when a well-dressed office worker, lingering in the stacks, overhears his hesitant narration. Rather than mock him, the stranger makes an astonishingly gentle offer: "Won't you let me be your practice partner?" Flustered and cornered by the man's earnest persistence, Murofuchi reluctantly agrees to the arrangement. Yet as he nervously fumbles through each practice session, the true weight of the situation finally dawns on him—the handsome man before him is none other than the object of his secret, unrequited adoration from high school. Now, Murofuchi must not only conquer his fear of reading aloud but also navigate the terrifying possibility that his childhood crush might be more than just a memory.
