The scent of blood and betrayal lingers in the air as Erika steps back into a world that once took everything from her. Seven years prior, she returned to her home only to discover her husband's lifeless body—a crime for which the evidence, however circumstantial, pointed squarely at her. With no other suspects and a justice system hungry for a conviction, Erika was condemned to a decade behind bars. But prison did not break her; it forged her into a weapon. Each passing year in that cold cell became a crucible for a singular, burning obsession: the identity of the real killer and the promise of retribution. Now freed, Erika finds herself unmoored from the fragile structures of polite society. The woman who once respected the law has shed that skin entirely, navigating a shadowy underworld where morality is a liability and survival demands ruthlessness. Her quest for truth propels her down a path paved with broken statutes and shattered lives, where every answer she unearths demands a heavier price. She is no longer bound by the shackles of conscience; only the mission matters. As she draws closer to her quarry, the line between justice and savagery blurs, and she understands that peace will only come when the ledger is balanced in blood.
