Time of the Blind Beast

Ezekiel was once a celebrated war hero, his name spoken with reverence—until a deadly poison stole his sight and left him a broken shadow of the man he had been. Now confined to his manor, he burns with two desires: to recover his eyesight and to exact vengeance upon the woman responsible for his ruin. What he cannot see, quite literally, is that the very traitor he hunts stands at his side every day, disguised as Rose, the unassuming new maid who attends to his every need. Rose's hand was forced. Blackmailed into committing the vile act, she carries the weight of her betrayal in silence and has quietly vowed to devote the rest of her life to serving the man she helped destroy. Yet as the days pass, the distance between master and servant begins to dissolve. Ezekiel finds unexpected comfort in her presence, and Rose's lingering guilt slowly entwines with something far more tender. But a bond built upon deception is a fragile thing. As their feelings deepen, so does the threat of the truth finally coming to light. Can a love born from poison ever blossom into a happy ending?
