Promised Orchid

Since the brutal massacre that claimed his childhood home, Jae-Sin Yang has been haunted by a single, ethereal promise. Every night, the same vision visits him: a mysterious woman with flowing red hair who whispers, “I’ll wait for you.” Tormented by the cryptic message and its connection to his tragic past, he uproots his life to settle on Orchid Road—a desolate thoroughfare notorious for its restless spirits and chilling supernatural activity. But the answers he seeks come with a deadly price. On his very first night in the cursed district, a vengeful demon nearly tears him apart, confirming that his dreams are not mere figments of grief, but dangerous omens. Salvation arrives in the form of So-Cheon, a breathtakingly beautiful woman whose face is the mirror image of the phantom from his nightmares. With her timely rescue, Jae-Sin realizes that his destiny is inextricably linked to the hidden world of demons that walk among humans. United by fate and a shared sense of justice, the pair form an unlikely alliance. Together, they navigate the treacherous landscape of Orchid Road, extending compassion to innocent demons who suffer under the weight of their monstrous reputations while standing firm against the tyrannical machinations of Geumgwan, the formidable lord of all demons. As Jae-Sin delves deeper into the origins of his recurring dream, he discovers that the woman's promise may be the key to a conflict far older and more personal than he ever imagined, forcing him to choose between the fragile peace of the human world and the chaotic underworld that claims him as its own.
