Mitsuba Monogatari

"The world revolves around me." This is the conviction with which Mitsuba awakens—rising from a long slumber in a dark, monotonous world with an inexplicable sense of omnipotence coursing through her veins. She was a girl destined to die, yet a decade of magic steadily poured into her body gave birth to a "curse" that has no place in this world, endowing her with power she was never meant to possess. Terrified by the death looming over her stepdaughter, Mitsuba's stepmother strips her of her aristocratic standing and sends her off to a military academy. But what may seem like banishment is merely the beginning—for Mitsuba has every intention of wielding her curse to forge a path that is entirely her own. With a forbidden power slumbering within her small frame, the young girl steps into a world that will never be the same. A curse beyond comprehension, carried by the unlikeliest of vessels, ignites a tale of otherworldly devastation unlike any the world has ever known!
