Black Cat and Soldier

Amid the smoke and ruin of an endless battlefield, Arthur Rain has earned a name that makes enemies tremble and allies keep their distance. Known as the "Wild Hunt," he is a mercenary sniper of unmatched precision, a ghost who claims lives from afar with cold efficiency. Each day bleeds into the next, his existence reduced to the mechanical ritual of loading, aiming, and firing—an endless cycle of death that has long since stripped away any sense of normalcy or hope. He operates in a world where survival is measured in seconds and trust is a forgotten luxury, and he expects nothing more from the war-torn landscape that surrounds him. Then, the black cat appears. Unannounced and seemingly unafraid, the stray wanders into the heart of the killing zone as if it were merely an empty lot. It pays no mind to the distant cracks of gunfire or the ever-present threat of death, instead finding simple joy in batting a spent bullet cartridge across the dirt. For Arthur, this tiny, defiant creature is an anomaly—a flicker of life and playfulness in a place that has known only destruction. Against all logic, he finds himself drawn to its resilience, and what begins as a reluctant observation slowly becomes something more. This is the quiet, poignant story of a soldier and a stray, two souls stranded in hell who find a reason to make the days bearable. In each other, they discover a fragile, unspoken bond that offers a reprieve from the horrors of war, proving that even in the darkest of times, a little warmth can be found.
