The Soul Guardians

Once a literary sensation that sold over ten million copies across Korea, this revered fantasy epic now returns to captivate a new generation as a serialized webtoon. Its world is one where vengeful spirits and ancient evils lurk just beyond the veil of reality, demanding sacrifices from the living. At the heart of this dark tapestry is Hyun-Am, a disciple driven by grief. He dedicates his life to the rigorous practice of Tai Chi Qigong, honing his internal energy for a single, burning purpose: to confront the malevolent water ghost that tore his sister from this world. Meanwhile, Father Park carries the weight of a different failure—powerless to rescue his closest friend's daughter from a nameless, parasitic specter, he abandons his former life to walk the lonely, unforgiving path of an ascetic priest, seeking redemption through suffering. Their fates intertwine with that of Jun-Hoo, the sole scion of the Eastern Sea Esoteric Buddhist tradition. A prodigy of staggering potential, he alone carries the complete legacy of his fallen order, having inherited all the esoteric magics of the five... yet his mastery may prove to be the fragile thread upon which the entire world hangs. As these three fractured souls converge, their personal quests for vengeance, atonement, and survival begin to weave into a single, desperate battle against the encroaching darkness.
