Nine Heavens Swordmaster

He is the ruler of the Nine Heavens—yet his story begins in the shadows of his own family's estate. Yeon Juk-Ha, the son of a concubine, has known nothing but misery his entire life. Tormented relentlessly by his father's principal wife and her children, he endures each day as an outcast within the Yeon household. When his father finally succumbs to illness, what little standing he possesses crumbles entirely. Cast aside by the very family that should have sheltered him, Yeon Juk-Ha is sealed away inside a storage room and left to be forgotten. Yet ten years of confinement do not break him. Within those dark walls, fate intervenes: the martial art of an inhuman being passes into his hands, bestowing upon him strength far beyond that of any ordinary man. Empowered at last, he breaks free and steps into the outside world after a decade of darkness. Bearing a grudge that has festered for years, he makes his intent unmistakably clear: "I have quite the issue with the Yeon Family." Thus begins the relentless journey of a scorned son pursuing his destiny as the ruler of the Nine Heavens.
