Haru’s Curse

When nineteen-year-old Haru passes away, she leaves behind a profound void in the lives of those who loved her most. Among them are Natsumi, her older sister and closest confidante, and Tougo, the young man she was engaged to marry. Unable to cope with the sudden loss, Natsumi makes an unconventional and emotionally fraught decision: she begins a relationship with her late sister’s fiancé. However, this new arrangement is bound by a singular, bittersweet condition. Tougo must only take Natsumi to the exact places he once visited with Haru, ensuring that every shared experience serves as a living memorial to the girl they both lost. As the seasons slowly turn, the bond between Natsumi and Tougo deepens into something genuine and complex. Yet, despite their growing feelings for one another, the shadow of Haru lingers over every moment they share. Their romance is built upon the foundation of grief, creating an invisible barrier that neither can easily ignore. This lingering presence—Haru’s Curse—threatens to consume whatever fragile connection they manage to build. As they navigate the delicate line between honoring the past and embracing the future, they are left to wonder whether true happiness can ever be found once the weight of this curse is finally lifted.
