Seul-Bi’s only desire is to graduate in peace, leaving the painful chapters of her past firmly behind her. Haunted by lingering trauma from relentless school bullying and a troubling history of sleepwalking, she has done everything in her power to remain invisible and keep to herself. She believes that if she simply stays out of the way, she can finally start fresh. However, maintaining her carefully constructed isolation proves difficult when Hae-On, the persistent class president, refuses to leave her alone and continually pushes past her boundaries. Hoping to help Seul-Bi find some semblance of calm, Hae-On recommends a visit to a nearby local lake. Seeking a quiet escape, Seul-Bi follows the suggestion, but what awaits her at the water’s edge shatters any hope of an ordinary life. There, hidden within the waters, she stumbles upon something she never could have fathomed even in her wildest dreams: a wild, dark mermaid. This impossible encounter drags Seul-Bi into an unforeseen mystery, forever altering the quiet graduation she had so desperately sought.
