Record of Blue

Nestled at the foot of deep mountains, a small village thrives amid the scent of wild grass and the gentle murmur of flowing rivers. Its people live peaceful lives, firing pottery, sharing the bounties of the forest, and singing together in harmony. Five youths raised in this tranquil settlement—Saku, Samu, Aki, Maki, and Tsuka—stand on the threshold of their fifteenth year and impending adulthood. Awkward yet earnest, they nurture deep friendships, experience the tender stirrings of first love, and revel in the fleeting season of youth. However, their serene existence is quietly eroded by an ancient seal enshrined within the temple atop the mountain. This dormant force begins to possess the villagers, bringing forth madness and unsettling ecstasy. Caught between a world where good and evil exist back-to-back, the five young men are forced to confront a harrowing truth. Clinging to the belief that even if everything around them is fabricated, the warmth in their hearts remains undeniably real, they must fight for what they cherish. This is the tragic yet beautiful tale of reincarnation, following five youths who sacrificed everything to love their world and forge a path toward tomorrow.
