The Radiant Rise of Jizong

Imagine facing a cruel ultimatum: you are afflicted with a terminal illness, but there is one way to survive—by transforming into a monster. Would you choose to live as a beast, or die retaining your humanity? Now imagine that this agonizing choice is not yours alone, but one forced upon the masses. If you possessed the technology to make this transformation possible, would you allow humanity to endure as monsters, or let them perish for the sake of human glory? Making such a decision requires unimaginable courage. Centuries after this fateful choice reshaped civilization, an extraordinary individual emerges upon this scarred land—a person uniquely capable of shifting freely between human and monstrous forms. Carrying the simplest and most earnest of ideals, he begins his journey in a remote village where humans and monsters coexist side by side. From this humble starting point, he sets forth on an epic expedition that will challenge the boundaries of identity, survival, and what it truly means to be alive.
