Kidou Senshi Crossbone Gundam: Skullheart

Kidou Senshi Crossbone Gundam: Skullheart is structured as a collection of standalone narratives that explore the varied exploits of the Crossbone Vanguard. The majority of these tales unfold during the events of the original series and throughout the three-year period following its conclusion, offering readers a deeper look into the faction's ongoing struggles and missions in the aftermath of their primary conflict. A notable exception to this timeline is the opening story, which shifts the setting back to the One Year War. This specific narrative delves into the youth of Umon Samon, a pilot affiliated with Crossbone, providing historical context and personal background that enriches the broader lore of the organization long before the main storyline takes shape. In addition to expanding the history of the Crossbone Vanguard, the manga introduces a compelling returning figure. Grey Stork, the elderly future incarnation of Judau Ashta, makes his reappearance within these pages. Having previously been featured in Yuichi Hasegawa's V Gundam Sidestory manga, his inclusion bridges distinct narrative threads within the creator's wider body of work, adding a layer of continuity for dedicated followers of the franchise.
