Fox and Puppy

A sweet and spicy spinoff of Star and Hedgehog, this story centers on Akihiko, the older brother of Harukiyo. Akihiko is a laid-back novelist whose comfortable routine is upended by his earnest new editor, Aiichirō—affectionately known as Ai-chan. Their professional dynamic shifts dramatically when Ai-chan accidentally walks in on Akihiko in bed with another man and bursts into tears. Overwhelmed, Ai-chan confesses his romantic feelings for the author. However, because Akihiko has no interest in anything serious, the most he is willing to offer is a steamy arrangement that blurs the line between their working relationship and decidedly unprofessional benefits. Despite Akihiko’s deliberate efforts to keep their connection strictly casual, Ai-chan refuses to be easily discouraged. As they spend more time together, the devoted editor slowly begins to unearth the painful details of Akihiko’s messy romantic past. With quiet determination, Ai-chan works his way toward the guarded heart of the elusive fox he has fallen in love with, hoping to reach the wounded man hiding behind a carefree facade.
