Born into a lineage of exorcists, Kyouichi Sukami has always lived in the shadow of his exceptionally skilled older sister. Over years of confronting the supernatural, she meticulously compiled her experiences into a specialized notebook, documenting methods for dealing with every monstrous entity she encountered during her work. Despite this formidable heritage, Kyouichi remains an ordinary student until a fateful outing changes everything. While investigating a supposedly cursed shrine with his school’s Occult Club, he finds himself dangerously outmatched and must be rescued by his sister's intervention. Shortly after saving him, she vanishes without a trace. With most believing her to be dead, she leaves behind nothing but her treasured notebook. Refusing to accept her fate, Kyouichi remains active in the Occult Club as he grows older, dedicating his youth to unraveling the mystery of her disappearance. His relentless search finally yields a breakthrough when a shinigami unexpectedly appears before him. Claiming to have been his sister's close friend, this otherworldly visitor offers the first real hope Kyouichi has had in years, setting him on a new path through the dangerous supernatural world his sister once navigated alone.
