His search for a way to pursue that goal leads him to an encounter with the Junk Guild, where he meets Lowe Gear. Lowe presents Jess with the newly completed Astray Out Frame, a machine suited to his ambitions. Accompanied by Lowe's talking computer, 8, Jess sets out to document the conflicts that continue to emerge. Traveling to every corner of the Earth, he turns his lens on the new battles that the postwar world must face, using the Astray Out Frame to capture what others cannot.
