After her boyfriend of three years ends their relationship because he finds her too laid-back, Akari is left feeling adrift. It is then that she happens upon an abandoned kitten, a small discovery that begins to change the rhythm of her days. Akari names the kitten Anko, and as she cares for her, their bond deepens. Encouraged by this growing attachment, Akari decides to move into an apartment building where cat owners gather, hoping to build a life that fits her new companion and herself. Yet this fresh start is not as simple as it first seems, and the path ahead carries its own uncertainties.
