For third-year high school student Damu Ju, constant screen time is simply a way of life. She spends her days inseparable from her smartphone—a remarkably outdated device she has clung to for a full decade. Despite this unusual attachment to aging technology, her ambitions are entirely modest. All Damu wants is to coast through her final year without incident, keeping her head down and graduating in peace. However, her hopes for an uneventful senior year are abruptly shattered when her beloved phone undergoes an impossible transformation. The ten-year-old device suddenly takes the physical form of an endearing human boy. Stranger still, despite his new appearance, he continues to function exactly as a working smartphone. Thrust into a bizarre situation she never could have anticipated, Damu must now navigate the complexities of high school while managing a living, breathing piece of technology.
