Official Details
Sachi Fujimori is undeniably one of the most popular girls in her class, yet she harbors a peculiar habit that leaves her seatmate completely baffled. No matter how hard Arata Kishimoto tries to catch a glimpse of her face, Sachi effortlessly and consistently turns away from him. Despite sitting right next to each other every day, Arata has only ever been able to see her side profile. Strangely enough, this evasive behavior doesn’t extend to their conversations; Sachi speaks to him perfectly normally, making her refusal to face him all the more perplexing. Determined to uncover the truth, Arata finds himself locked in a quiet battle of wits against the mysterious girl beside him. Is she hiding something behind that carefully guarded angle, or is there another reason she refuses to meet his gaze? What begins as a frustrating daily puzzle soon blossoms into an endearing romantic comedy, pitting a boy who simply will not give up against a girl committed to showing nothing but her silhouette. Originally shared as a web manga on the author's Twitter account beginning May 7, 2019, Kimi no Yokogao shika Mirenai later began its official serialization in Comic Gene on August 16, 2020.
