Enoki embodies the quintessential high school outcast. Short in stature, physically slight, and perpetually hidden behind large round glasses, he navigates his daily life with a quiet social awkwardness that keeps others at a distance. His world is largely confined to the digital realm of video games, offering him an escape from a school environment where meaningful friendships are virtually nonexistent. Accustomed to isolation, Enoki has long accepted his role as an invisible presence among his peers. His solitary routine is unexpectedly disrupted by Shirataki, a former member of the school's baseball club who represents everything Enoki is not. Where Enoki is small and reserved, Shirataki is tall, muscular, and naturally athletic. The two boys share no obvious common ground, existing on entirely opposite ends of the social spectrum.
