Lonely Castle in the Mirror

Kokoro is a junior high school student whose life has been derailed by relentless bullying. Overwhelmed by severe anxiety, she eventually stops attending classes altogether, retreating into the safety of her home. Her isolation takes an extraordinary turn when she is drawn through her bedroom’s full-length mirror and transported to a magnificent castle existing in another dimension. There, she is greeted by a mysterious girl wearing a wolf mask, who introduces Kokoro to six other children sharing her predicament. The masked girl presents the group with a singular challenge: a scavenger hunt for a hidden key capable of unlocking a secret room within the castle. Whoever discovers this key will be granted one wish, no matter how profound. The children are free to come and go between their ordinary lives and the castle as they please, provided they strictly abide by its rules. As the seven students spend more time together exploring the sprawling fortress, they slowly forge genuine bonds, finding solace in each other's company after enduring similar hardships. Yet, beneath their growing friendship lingers an undeniable tension. The scavenger hunt remains at the forefront of everyone’s thoughts, casting a quiet shadow over their interactions. With only one victor permitted to claim their heart’s desire, the children must navigate the delicate balance between camaraderie and competition, knowing that ultimately, only one among them can win.
