Makie is a young boy hopelessly infatuated with Sachi, his tall and older classmate. To express his devotion, he lovingly prepares a special lunch for her every single day. While Sachi genuinely returns his affection, she harbors a dangerous secret: she is not human, but rather a shapeshifting monster known as a watari. Her initial attraction to Makie was not born of romance alone, but because his scent is irresistibly delicious to her kind. Unfortunately, Makie’s alluring aroma does not go unnoticed by others in the supernatural realm. He soon discovers that creatures from across the entire monster world are hunting him, drawn by the very same intoxicating fragrance. With threats closing in from every direction, his survival seems impossible. Fortunately, Sachi proves to be an exceptional protector. As a rare watari who preys upon other watari, she swears a fierce oath to keep Makie safe from those who wish to devour him. Yet, this arrangement places Makie in a precarious position. His only shield against becoming a monster's meal is the very creature who finds him most appetizing, leaving one terrifying question unanswered: how long can he truly survive when Sachi's own monstrous hunger is the sole barrier between him and death?
