Sunny Days With the Four Seasons Club

Haruno’s first glimpse of Ichise happens right outside their high school, where the cherry blossoms are in full bloom. To Haruno’s surprise, the unfamiliar boy standing beneath the trees is quietly weeping. Thinking him rather odd, Haruno soon discovers that this tearful stranger is actually his new classmate—and, as fate would have it, has been assigned the desk directly beside his own. As they settle into the school year, Haruno learns that Ichise is a recent returnee from the United States who harbors a deep, passionate love for traditional Japanese seasonal customs. Driven by this enthusiasm, Ichise establishes the Four Seasons Club, though he remains its one and only member. Despite finding Ichise peculiar at first, Haruno realizes he cannot stop watching him. Drawn in by the other boy's earnest nature, Haruno nearly stumbles into agreeing to join the solitary club. However, a simple misunderstanding changes everything. The casual words Haruno uses during their conversation are interpreted entirely differently by Ichise, leading the newcomer to believe they have just become boyfriends. What begins as mere curiosity over an eccentric classmate quickly evolves into an unexpected romance, leaving Haruno caught off guard by a relationship he never intended to start.
