Summary

Official Details
In a world where humans and extraterrestrials coexist in harmony, certain alien species have evolved beyond the need for traditional meals. Originating from the impoverished planet of Chlorodium #2—a harsh world where sustenance is considered an extreme luxury—these beings survive simply by inhaling airborne microorganisms rather than consuming physical food. Kumika, a diligent and somewhat rigid office worker, belongs to this unique extraterrestrial race. She has spent her entire life relying on this biological process, never once experiencing the human necessity of eating. However, Kumika’s routine is abruptly disrupted when she catches a severe cold that prevents her from absorbing nutrients from the air. Unable to sustain herself through her usual method, she faces an unfamiliar crisis. Observing her distress, her compassionate coworker Chihiro steps in to help, offering her a comforting, steaming bowl of udon noodles. This simple act of kindness introduces Kumika to the entirely foreign concept of human cuisine. Having never needed to consume solid food before, she must now navigate the strange and overwhelming sensation of hunger, leaving her to wonder if she will ever truly adapt to this fundamental aspect of human life.
