A Hero in the Demon's Castle

For Wisped, an immortal and omnipotent Demon Lord, repelling the endless stream of heroes who storm his domain is merely a routine part of existence. Yet, despite his overwhelming power, he was never destined for a life defined by conflict. Beneath his fearsome title lies a profound emptiness, as his days are consumed by an inescapable loneliness that no battle can fill. Isolated within the walls of his fortress, he exists without purpose or companionship, quietly enduring the weight of his own immortality. This solitary existence is unexpectedly disrupted by the arrival of a hero named True. Unlike the determined warriors who have come before him, True approaches the Demon Lord completely unarmed and laughing heartily. Anticipating yet another futile attempt to strike him down, Wisped is caught entirely off guard when the eccentric hero poses a baffling request instead of drawing a weapon. Rather than declaring war, True simply asks if he might be allowed to live inside the demon's castle. This absurd proposition challenges everything Wisped knows about his eternal adversaries, setting the stage for an unconventional relationship between an isolated ruler and the most peculiar hero he has ever encountered.
