Set during the Meiji era, more than three decades after the fall of the shogunate, *Tsukiyo Garasu Zoushi* follows a spirited young girl named Izuru. Despite the ordinary boundaries of human life, her social circle is uniquely unconventional, featuring two striking demons known as Shikou and Wakaba who act as her companions. These otherworldly entities survive by consuming the vital life force of individuals whose hearts have been deeply tainted by darkness. Yet, defying the natural order, the genuine friendship Izuru harbors for these supernatural beings creates an unusual bond that holds them together. United by this mysterious connection, Izuru and her two demonic companions journey through a changing society, bearing witness to the diverse and complex manifestations of darkness that fester within the human heart.
