Sakuharu Asanaga is a high school student who leads a demanding double life as an aspiring light novel author. Balancing the rigorous expectations of his academics with the intense pressure of his writing career leaves him constantly exhausted and struggling to manage his time. One particular night, facing a looming manuscript deadline, Sakuharu pushes himself to stay awake deep into the early hours to finish his work. However, this grueling late-night writing session takes a completely unexpected turn. Instead of simply finishing his draft, Sakuharu inadvertently triggers a supernatural event that summons a mysterious entity directly into his world. The being who appears before him is Neruno Somnaphor, an otherworldly figure who boldly introduces herself as a Sleep Demon. Her sudden arrival abruptly shatters his ordinary routine, thrusting the exhausted young writer into a bizarre new situation where his desperate need to stay awake collides with the strange presence of a demon intrinsically tied to slumber.
