An ordinary woman's life takes an unexpected turn when a tragic accident interrupts her commute home while reading her favorite novel. As she drifts into unconsciousness, a mysterious voice pleads with her, identifying itself as Elsia Artize and begging her to save someone dear. When she opens her eyes again, she discovers that she has been reincarnated as Elsia herself—a character cursed with a tragically short lifespan in the original story. Armed with her knowledge of the novel's plot, she realizes that her only hope for survival is to prevent the assassination of her beloved character, Prince Ixion. She successfully intervenes and saves the prince, believing she has finally secured her own future and earned the right to live peacefully on her own terms. However, her plans for a quiet life are abruptly derailed when the grateful prince unexpectedly proposes marriage, leaving her to navigate a romantic complication she never asked for.
