Kimi wa Haru ni Me wo Samasu

Despite a seven-year age gap, Ito and Chiharu share an exceptionally close bond. Beneath the surface of their deep friendship, however, Ito quietly harbors unrequited romantic feelings for Chiharu, carrying an emotional weight that the younger boy remains entirely unaware of. Their ordinary lives are abruptly shattered when Chiharu is diagnosed with a terminal illness. In a desperate bid to save him, doctors place Chiharu into a medically induced coma, hoping that medical science will advance enough to find a cure while he sleeps. Seven years pass in silence. When Chiharu finally opens his eyes, the world he returns to has shifted dramatically. The time lost to his slumber has erased the age difference between them; Ito is now exactly the same age as Chiharu. More startling still is the revelation that his former classmate has grown up to become his own homeroom teacher. Forced to navigate this strange new reality, they must confront how much has changed—and how much remains unspoken—between them.
