In the enigmatic city of Paradigm, where the past is shrouded in mystery, memories of a catastrophic event that occurred 40 years ago have been erased from the collective consciousness of its inhabitants. The city's residents, driven by a culture of innovation, have been preoccupied with creating massive machines known as Megadeuses and battling monstrous creatures that threaten their existence. As a new generation awakens to recall their past, memories long suppressed begin to resurface, giving rise to fresh threats and unraveling the very fabric of the city. Amidst this chaos, Roger Smith, a young man with a troubled past, teams up with his loyal butler Norman and the android Dorothy to operate the mighty robot known as The Big O, tasked with safeguarding Paradigm City from the emerging dangers.
