Nagi Kitagawa, an art university student with a quiet, rural upbringing, harbors a deep and seemingly hopeless affection for his senior in the folk song club, Yuu Yamasaki. Yuu is effortlessly charming, strikingly handsome, and widely admired by everyone around them—a fact made even more daunting by their close proximity as next-door neighbors. Convinced that someone of Yuu’s caliber could never reciprocate the feelings of a timid country boy, Nagi resigns himself to admiring his senpai from afar. Their dynamic shifts unexpectedly one evening following a club gathering. After Yuu drinks far too much, Nagi carefully escorts him back to his apartment. Just as Nagi attempts to return to his own room, Yuu pulls him into a tight embrace and drifts off to sleep, leaving Nagi trapped in his arms until morning.
