Tamayura Kitsune

During his childhood, Wataru shared a cherished routine with his grandmother, frequently visiting a small shrine nestled in their neighborhood. Together, they would offer prayers for each other's happiness, finding comfort and connection within the sacred grounds. It was during these peaceful visits that young Wataru had a remarkable encounter with a striking, snow-white fox named Yuki. This brief but memorable meeting left a lasting impression on the boy, intertwining his fondest memories of his grandmother with the mysterious presence of the beautiful animal. Many years pass before Wataru finds himself drawn back to the very same shrine. Now older and burdened by grief, he returns under sorrowful circumstances, seeking solace in the familiar surroundings of his youth. However, the reunion he experiences is far from what he expects. Upon arriving at the shrine, Wataru is greeted once again by Yuki, yet something about the white fox feels profoundly different. The creature standing before him carries an unfamiliar essence, leaving Wataru to wonder if the Yuki welcoming him back is truly the same companion he remembers from his childhood, or if time and tragedy have transformed them both into something entirely new.
