Atarashii Kimi e

Sakuma, a dedicated teacher at an all-girls academy, has his world upended when he spots his wife engaging in infidelity within the red-light district. Overwhelmed by betrayal and distress, he abandons his responsibilities to embark on a solitary journey across Japan, allowing his impulses to guide his travels. His aimless wandering ultimately leads him to Odawara, where an unexpected encounter awaits him. There, he crosses paths with a young girl who bears a striking resemblance to a recurring figure from his dreams. Standing on the precipice of a serious transgression, Sakuma narrowly restrains himself from crossing the line with the enigmatic girl. Soon after, he learns that his wife's supposed betrayal was entirely a misunderstanding, prompting him to retrace his steps and resume his ordinary domestic life. Believing the emotional crisis has been averted and order restored, he settles back into his routine—unaware that the consequences of his fleeting escape are only just beginning to unfold.
