#muted

In the comic #muted, Jasper's life takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with Kai, a boy who lives entirely without speech. This chance encounter introduces Jasper to someone whose silence is not born of reluctance, but rather defines his everyday existence. As they spend more time together, a quiet understanding begins to form between them, bridging the gap that words typically fill and drawing the two closer in ways neither anticipated. Beneath Kai's unspoken exterior lies a depth of emotion that mirrors Jasper's own internal landscape. Both boys harbor feelings they struggle to articulate, creating a delicate tension as they navigate their growing bond. The absence of spoken dialogue forces them to seek alternative methods of expression, relying on gestures, shared moments, and unspoken empathy to convey what resides in their hearts. The central challenge of their relationship becomes a poignant exploration of human connection beyond verbal communication. As Jasper and Kai attempt to decode each other's emotions, they must discover whether their mutual affection can truly be understood without the convenience of language. Their journey is a tender examination of patience, vulnerability, and the profound lengths people will go to in order to reach one another when traditional voices fall silent.
