Cradles of the Heaven

Three years ago, a devastating demonic invasion shattered the Celestial Empire, pushing its divine inhabitants to the brink of extinction. Tasked with saving his people, Kasin—the celestial emperor—descended into the mortal realm to seek a path toward restoring peace. Yet, after three long years of fruitless searching, his mission remains stagnant, and hope begins to fade. Everything changes when he crosses paths with Daran, an itinerant merchant who disguises herself as a man to safely travel and trade medicinal herbs across the human world. Daran possesses a miraculous gift: the innate ability to heal any affliction with a single touch. Recognizing her as the key to fulfilling his desperate quest, Kasin recruits her to join him. Though the emperor firmly insists that his interest in Daran is strictly professional—and adamantly reminds himself that he has no attraction to men—he keeps the disguised merchant close as a personal aide. However, as their journey unfolds and they spend more time together, Kasin finds his rigid convictions wavering. Against his own declarations, the celestial ruler slowly realizes he is becoming deeply drawn to the extraordinary healer by his side.
