Sensuishi to Kurage

In a quiet French town, a weary waiter navigates his daily life burdened by a profound sense of isolation. He feels as though he is constantly submerged at the bottom of the sea, suffocating under the invisible weight of his own stagnation and despair. His monotonous existence takes an unexpected turn when he crosses paths with a free-spirited pâtissier. This vibrant encounter introduces a stark contrast to the waiter’s heavy reality, offering a glimpse of lightness and liberation that challenges his deeply entrenched melancholy. Far removed from the cobblestone streets of France, another narrative unfolds across the globe on a harsh, frozen tundra. Here, a young boy embarks on a desperate journey through the unforgiving ice, driven by the singular goal of finding his missing father. The brutal landscape tests his resolve, but his path leads him to two enigmatic figures who alter the course of his search. He encounters a scientist whose knowledge may hold the key to his quest, alongside a mysterious man possessing the striking, piercing appearance of a snowy owl. Together, these disparate lives weave a tale of longing, discovery, and the enduring search for connection in vastly different corners of the world.
