After suffering a fall down a staircase that leaves him unconscious, photographer Shunji Fujishiro awakens in a hospital bed to begin his recovery. His initial frustration stems from the unexpectedly casual demeanor of his attending physician, Mutsumi Higa, whose relaxed attitude clashes with Shunji’s expectations of medical professionalism.
