Back to the Highteen

At twenty-eight years old, Bo-Young finds her life trapped in a frustrating cycle of stagnation. Burdened by mounting financial pressures, she remains unable to afford the tuition necessary to finally complete her college degree. Her personal life fares no better; after dedicating years to supporting her boyfriend both emotionally and financially, he abruptly discards her without a second thought. Left with nothing but debt and dashed expectations, Bo-Young desperately needs an opportunity to break free from her dead-end circumstances. That lifeline arrives in the form of a highly unusual proposition. She is offered a paid position that requires her to go undercover as a high school student for an entire year. It is a bizarre assignment, but one that promises the financial stability she needs to finally move forward with her life. Accepting the offer, Bo-Young prepares to step back into the hallways of secondary education, trading her adult struggles for the facade of teenage youth. However, navigating adolescence a second time comes with a singular, critical condition: she must maintain her cover flawlessly. If anyone discovers the truth about the twenty-eight-year-old masquerading among teenagers, everything she has worked for will unravel.
