Dispatched by the Vatican on a desperate mission, Reagan journeys to Japan with a singular objective: to locate and neutralize a Calamity-Grade Beast before it can bring about the destruction of the world. He does not face this apocalyptic threat alone, as he is accompanied by his own summoned companion, the formidable beast known as Fafnir. Together, they arrive fully prepared for an unprecedented battle against a force capable of ending civilization. However, upon setting foot in Japan, Reagan quickly realizes that his understanding of summoning is fundamentally flawed. To his astonishment, the ability to call forth beasts is not a rare or sacred gift restricted to a chosen few, but rather an everyday occurrence. The local population summons powerful creatures with effortless ease, treating the extraordinary practice as entirely mundane. This revelation completely upends his expectations and forces him to navigate a society where his unique advantage is merely the standard way of life. Now thrust into an unfamiliar culture where everyone possesses the very power he relies upon, Reagan faces a daunting new challenge. He must find a way to track down the elusive Calamity-Grade Beast hidden within this extraordinary landscape. With the fate of the entire world hanging in the balance, time is rapidly running out, and Reagan must adapt quickly if he hopes to prevent global annihilation.
