Yomi no Tsugai

Yuru is a young boy residing in an isolated mountain village, where he spends his days hunting birds and living in quiet harmony with the natural world. His peaceful existence is abruptly shattered when his younger twin sister, Asa, is selected to serve a mandatory term within the village’s central jail. This solemn duty not only binds her to the facility but also effectively imprisons her, severing the close bond the siblings have always shared and casting a shadow over Yuru’s once-tranquil life. As Yuru grapples with the loss of his sister’s freedom, he begins to notice disturbing inconsistencies beneath the surface of his seemingly idyllic community. The village’s traditions and the true purpose of the jail reveal themselves to be far more sinister than they appear, hinting at an unnatural mystery that has long been concealed from its inhabitants. Driven by devotion to Asa and a growing sense of unease, Yuru embarks on a perilous journey to uncover the dark secrets buried within his home, challenging the very foundations of the world he thought he understood.
