The Disloyal Subject Saves The Country

A treacherous courtier intended only to exploit his kingdom’s collapse by seizing the royal treasury for himself, but fate intervened when he unexpectedly sacrificed his life to shield the queen from an assassin's arrow. Upon awakening in the afterlife, he is greeted by a divine apostle who mistakes his accidental heroism for unwavering devotion and charges him with a sacred mission: to restore the fallen realm by reliving the pivotal historical moments that defined its rise. Now bound to this celestial mandate, the man must navigate the past not as the self-serving opportunist he was, but as the loyal subject everyone believes him to be. Tasked with rebuilding the nation to its former glory, he faces a profound internal conflict between his ingrained greed and the expectations placed upon him by both heaven and history. Each reenactment of the kingdom’s defining eras tests whether he can genuinely embody the virtue required to secure its restoration or if his base desires will ultimately sabotage his redemption. His journey becomes a delicate balance between performing loyalty and discovering it, raising the question of whether a man driven by avarice can truly earn his place in legend as a faithful servant of the crown.
