Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun - FINALS

Captain Tsubasa: Rising Sun - FINALS is a web-comic continuation of the ninth story arc in the legendary Captain Tsubasa series. The narrative picks up during the intense second half of the Madrid Olympics match between Japan and Spain, carrying the high-stakes tournament action forward into uncharted territory. This unique project came to fruition following an announcement by creator Yoichi Takahashi in April 2024 regarding his retirement from traditional manga serialization. As a result, the official magazine publication of Rising Sun - The Final concluded midway through the pivotal Olympic clash. Rather than leaving the beloved story unfinished, Takahashi chose to bring the saga to its conclusion on his own terms. He transitioned the remaining chapters to a digital format, releasing storyboard pencil sketches at his own pace exclusively through the official Captain Tsubasa World website, ensuring fans could witness the final moments of this historic football journey.
