Winter Field

At the remote edge of a distant continent lies Oldenland, a realm perpetually blanketed in snow and ruled by Archduke Giesel Zvendard. Feared by all for his frigid demeanor, overwhelming magical prowess, and persistent rumors of monster blood, Giesel harbors a remarkably modest desire: to enjoy a peaceful daily life immersed in magical research, accompanied by a warm cup of tea in his quiet study. That tranquil existence is shattered by the arrival of an unexpected bride from the southernmost tip of Cornia. Rensley Mallosen, the illegitimate son of Cornia, wears a bride's crown in place of his runaway sister. Though he initially attempts to hide out of fear of discovery, the cheerful, chatty knight with sun-like golden hair soon disrupts the eternal silence of the ice castle. Despite the fraudulence of the marriage—which should have warranted immediate banishment—Giesel finds himself increasingly captivated by Rensley, who beams brightly and chatters happily at the smallest kindness. Having faced rejection and abandonment since birth, Rensley begins to develop genuine affection for Giesel beneath the archduke's seemingly indifferent exterior. Yet, just as these tender feelings take root, the time for their inevitable parting draws near. Will Rensley ever find his way back to Oldenland, the coldest land on the continent, yet the very place where the warmest things gather?
