Residents of Hanayashiki

In a world where rigid gender roles and expectations govern every aspect of life, 16-year-old Sakura Aki is an outcast for his unconventional interests and habits. His grandfather and father, both stern disciplinarians, have always pushed him to conform to traditional masculine norms, punishing him for any perceived lapses in masculinity. When his father leaves him financially destitute, Sakura's grandfather sends him to live at Hanayashiki, an elite all-girls' school, with the intention of breaking him of his "unmanly" ways. There, he meets Kitahiro Renge, a free-spirited student with a passion for meat and a disregard for traditional feminine etiquette, who becomes the catalyst for a journey of self-discovery and growth that will either redeem Sakura or lead him further astray.
