A series of inexplicable and brutal murders has gripped the city, leaving victims torn apart without any discernible motive. The violence reaches a devastating peak when all thirty-six students in Homura Kei’s computer class are slaughtered. Kei survives the massacre solely because her habitual truancy kept her out of the classroom that day. Left as the only witness to the atrocity, she is thrust into a nightmare far beyond anything she could have imagined. That same night, a hacker named Yuon arrives at her door. Having also lost someone to the mysterious killer, he brings crucial information that Kei lacks. He reveals the terrifying truth behind the attacks: a malicious program capable of lethally affecting human beings through the image of a blue butterfly displayed on a computer screen. An unknown individual is weaponizing this digital anomaly to orchestrate the murders. Armed with this knowledge, Kei and Yuon form an uneasy alliance. They must race against time to track down the anonymous perpetrator orchestrating these digital executions. If they fail to uncover the mastermind's identity, they will inevitably become the next targets on the killer's screen.
